COUNTY GOVERNMENT was weighed as Dalton Roberts (left) visited Mike Mahn at his home in Northwest Georgia.  When Dalton was Hamilton County Executive, Mike was his assistant.  Now Dalton is retired and Mike is Catoosa County Manager, which includes the fastest growing area between Chattanooga and Atlanta.

SUPPORT for America, Tennessee and Jim Henry for Governor were evident Saturday, May 8, in a statewide meeting of campaign chairmen and volunteers at Brentwood's Holiday Inn.  The candidate (right) pauses to talk with a friend after telling several hundred people the state was in the worst shape it has been in for the past 30 years.  (Photos by Pete Chaney, IPS Features)
