A final, critique meeting was held by the 2004 Armed Forces Week Celebration and Parade Committee on June 10 at the Choo Choo.  Curtis Adams will be civilian chairmen of the 2005 committee and Patty Parks will serve as military chairperson.

CAVC Chairman Jim Shull presided over the meeting.  Col. Tom McConnell presented awards to the JROTC units who marched in the parade.

A street map prepared by the Chattanooga Police Department for the May 7 Armed Forces Week Parade shows the route to be followed.  Staging on Market Street will be between 12th Street and M.L. King Boulevard.  It will move north on Market to 3rd Street, turn west one block to Broad and turn north for disbursement.

February 20, 2004  Plans began to fall into place in a meeting of the 2004 Armed Forces Celebration committee at the Navy-Marine Reserve Center on Amnicola Highway.  The parade is scheduled for 10:30 AM on Friday, May 7.
Bill Knowles is civilian chairman and Carl Levi is civilian chairman.  Don Loftis will be grand marshal and Maj. Gen. Pat Brady will be the keynote speaker for the luncheon at the Read House.  He was a chopper pilot in Vietnam.
This year the US Army is the office service in its year of rotation among the branches of the military service.
